MAY OVERLAP PAST RUSTED AREA 1-INCH ONLY. RUST REPAIR IS MEANT TO RESTORE CAR TO OEM, NOT STRENGTHEN. IF DEEMED EXCESSIVE IT WILL BE REMOVED
Vans/Sub Framed SUV's as well as full frame will receive 4 4x4 ¼ fix it plates must be 1 full inch apart from one another ½ in bead of weld
GENERAL
THIS CLASS IS TO REMAIN STOCK UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN RULES
1. Must be 2WD, if 4WD must remove either front or rear driveshaft, your choice.
2. 4cyl and 6 cyl engines permitted. May engine swap manufacture to manufacture.
3. All exterior (chrome, trim, emblems, plastic grills, door handles, plastic bumper covers, spoilers and anything that’s plastic or metal that will break and fall off onto the track) MUST BE REMOVED prior to bringing the vehicle to the track.
4. All interior (carpet, moldings, seats except driver’s seat, headliners, door panels, speakers, etc. and anything flammable) MUST BE REMOVED.
5. Vehicle must be swept completely free of all debris, tools, tires etc.
6. All glass must be removed and cleaned out especially around window seals
7. All vehicles must have working brakes, vehicles that do not will not be permitted to run.
8. Batteries must be moved to the passenger floorboard and mounted securely inside of a battery box NO MILK CRATES.
9. NO extra banding,9 wire, chain, seatbelt or strapping other than where specified in the rules
10. No 9 wire from door to door a crossed or attached to floor/ anywhere other than specified by official you will cut!
Mini Trucks/Full Frame SUV Permitted:
4 & 6 cylinder vehicles that are considered a Midsize Suv/Truck. No open Jeeps or full sized SUV’s such as Expeditions, Blazers, Yukons, Suburbans, 2004-up Dodge Durangos, etc
4WD vehicles must remove one drive shaft to be only 2wd.
BODY:
1. All door seams can be 9 wired 5 spots per seam.
2. Hatch/Tailgate MUST remain in factory location or can be removed.
3. The Driver's door can be welded solid and reinforced as heavy as wanted (keep in mind they get hit) cannot go 2” beyond the seam.
4. Truck cab to bed may be welded with MAX plate size of 4’’x4”x ⅛’’ door strapping in 4 places OR bolted in 4 places
5. Body creasing is allowed and quarter panels may be creased behind rear doors
6. Mini truck bed sides must remain upright
7. Hoods can be secured in 4 locations if bolting can use 2x2 two inch long angle iron with Maximum ½” bolts if 9 wiring 6 locations may be used
8. Hoods may have 10 bolts surrounding inspection hole ½” bolts Max
9. Hood must have a 10” inspection hole.
10. All thread may be used to secure the hood 4 locations max size of ½” sheet metal to sheet metal only
11. Body mounts must remain factory
12. No rear window bars permitted
SUSPENSION AND STEERING:
1. All suspension parts must remain stock and suspension must have bounce but are permitted spring risers NO SOLID SUSPENSION
2. No reinforcement or strengthening of hubs and spindles
3. Tie rods may be reinforced
4. Factory steering columns must be used
5. No axle savers.
6. No leaf spring conversions and no homemade or aftermarket leaf packs
DRIVELINE:
1. No slider driveshafts
2. Center sections may be welded solid for posi traction
3. Motor swap permitted ANY 4-6 CYL make to make
4. 1 motor mount may be solid using 2”X2”x1/4” tubing OR ¼” Strapping
5. NO transmission braces
6. NO protectors unless otherwise specified
7. Trans cooler permitted inside all lines must be secure and double clamped
8. Headers permitted and must go straight up or directly at ground if stock exhaust
9. HEADER PROTECTORS permitted strictly on header if tied in elsewhere YOU will lose it completely
10. Aftermarket shifters and pedals are permitted
11. Simplified harness permitted
12. Factory tanks MUST be removed and replaced with aftermarket tanks. If running, a factory tank must be in front of the rear axle and must have 2 ratchet straps put on them. Only 2 gallon of fuel
13. All fuel lines must be secured anywhere where fuel line intersects must be doubled/wrapped with a protective layer to prevent being punctured
14. Fuel line fittings must be double clamped.
15. Tanks must be secured fully and bolted to the floor or gas tank protector NO RATCHET STRAPS/BUNGEE CORDS ETC to mount.
16. Boat tanks permitted. All tanks MUST BE 100% leakproof and sealed. If they are not, you will NOT run
17. NO PLASTIC TANKS.
18. Any vehicle that leaks fuel during the derby will be shut down and not permitted to run.
19. Carb conversions are permitted.
BUMPER:
1. ANY factory OEM front or rear bumper permitted OR aftermarket–Approved aftermarket bumpers include SMW, Dowd, Kiskadden ¼” max
2. Homemade bumpers approved No loading of bumpers, no homemade pointy bumpers.
3. All points 14" max over 32' span
4. Bumper max size of 4”X6” tubing, no round pipe bumpers front or back. Square only.
5. Seam welding permitted on bumper ONLY
6. Bumper height– bottom of bumper must be NO MORE than 21” off the ground
7. Bumpers are allowed to be hard nosed 2” in front of factory core support. If you remove this area you lose this 2”in hardnose
8. Chrysler pointy permitted may be seam welded not loaded
9. Subframe Vans ONLY permitted 4”x10” bumper shock Plate outside rail ONLY this must be 1 plate and connect to back of the bumper
10. Full Framers ONLY permitted 4”X4”x1/4” shock plate (1) outside of rail must connect to back of the bumper
11. Frames may be cut back to core support area and capped with a 6”X6”X1/4” plate.
This plate is to go on the end of the frame not to be bent around the rail. (Read rule 7)
12. Bumpers cannot be formed and cut around the rails MUST be mounted to end of rail ONLY
13. 9 wire is permitted in two locations top of core support to bumper 3 strands per location (not around hood)
CAGE:
1. 4 point cage recommend but is not mandatory
2. Max size of 2”X6” or 4”X4”
3. Cage must stay in driver compartment must be 6” off of any and all surfaces
4. Door bars cannot be longer than 60”
5. Gas tank protector permitted, No greater than 32″ wide and no greater than 4x4″ square tubing.
6. Front window bar MANDATORY can use 9 wire or chain also
7. Halo bar permitted
8. No bars coming off halo allowed
9. Backseat bar is MANDATORY
10. No down bars of any kind
FRAME
1. No welding on frame, exception bumper mounting. NO PLATING, PINNING, FORMING of frame or unibody.
2. Frame must remain stock unless otherwise specified
3. No foreign substance in frames we will drill and scope.
TIRES and WHEELS:
1. Open tire as long as it has rubber surrounding the wheel
2. Sidewall protectors are permitted
3. NO BEADLOCKS
4. Simple Lip protectors, Simple weld in center and valve stem protector permitted
